First Post!!!

Hey everyone. So I thought I would start a blog so that everyone could keep up with whats going on at my farm, how all the horses are doing, what shows are coming up and that sort of thing. I will start with quick run down of all the ponies currently with me at Horse Heaven Eventing.

Reno Tune: Also known as Shorty, is a 14 year old 16.2 liver chestnut thoroughbred gelding. Shorty is the newest member of the team, being bought from Amy Smith on May 30. Shorty has competed to the Advanced level with Amy completing several CCI** and CCI***. We are hopeing for the same results for him now. His first outing will be Maui Jim in the Open Training, and hopefully be running the CCI* at Ocala this winter

Castlebar Friday: Also known as O'malley, is a 9 year old 17 bay Irish Sport Horse gelding. O'malley was imported from Ireland as a seven year old for my personal horse, and is currently competing at the prelim level with hopes of moving up to Intermediate soon. He is currently looking at running in the JYOP at Maui Jim and then ended his fall season with the CCI* in Ocala.

Ringwood Ventura: Also known as Vince, is a 16 year old 16.1 bay Irish Sport Horse gelding. Vince was also purchased from Amy Smith, in 2004, he was bought to teach me how to run at the prelim level, but Vince showed us just how fantasic he was going above and beyond what we had planned taking me to two Young Riders as well as my first CIC**. Vince is currently sidelined with a torn suspensory ligament, but will hopefully be competing at the begining of next spring.

Friday's Too: Also known as Too, is a 2 year old 15.3 black/grey Tennessee Walker stallion. Too was my first homebred, my grandparents owned both the mare and the stallion, and sadly 5 months before Too was born his sire "Friday" died from complications of colic. But then April 11 2006, at 9:15 am, Angel gave birth to a perfect black baby boy, who looks just like his daddy did. However in the last 6 months Too has started to grey out. Too will be starting under saddle lightly this summer, then have the winter off before really starting training next spring.

Troubled Expression: Also known as TE, is a 7 year old 15.2 chestnut Paint mare. TE was given to me from my grandpa, as a resale project. She ran on the track but was not very good at it. She has come a long way in the two years that I have had her, going from not being able to catch her to going well under saddle. If you are interseted in this lovely mare, just let me know.

Aspy: is a 32 year old 15.1 grey Quarter Horse mare. Aspy was my first horse. She currently lives in my front field where she will be until the day she leaves us for a better place.

Dash DE Kas: Also known as Troll, is a 15 year old 16.3 bay Quarter Horse gelding, Troll was my first FEI horse successfully competing to the CIC* level. Sadly Troll's hocks and stifles gave out on him, and then he tore a suspensory about six months later. So Troll is now retired to my field. Troll enjoys giving kids rides every once in a while, and loves to gallop around the field chasing Aspy and TE.
